Alicia Alvarez
Multimedia Journalist
Alicia Alvarez is a nine-time award-winning multimedia journalist who specializes in cultural, international and news reporting. Along with writing, she is well-versed in photography, publication design, social media marketing and editing. Her reporting is informed by her upbringing in a mixed-race family, coming from both a Mexican and mixed-European background.
Alicia is a Southern California native and attended two universities in-state. She received her bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University and is currently studying for her master’s degree at the University of Southern California.
When she is not following a story, she can be found traveling the world or practicing folklorico.
